Common questions

Does TabSettle integrate with Toast?

TabSettle does not replace or modify Toast. It works alongside it: built-in OCR reads the itemized check, guests split and pay through TabSettle, and your Toast setup stays exactly as it is. There is no native Toast API integration today.

Will it affect my Toast reporting?

TabSettle processes payments through Stripe Connect, separately from Toast. Your Toast setup and reporting stay as they are.

How is this different from Toast's built-in split?

Toast's split is done by your staff at the terminal. TabSettle is guest-facing — each person claims items, splits shared dishes, tips individually, and pays simultaneously from their own phone, with no server involvement.

Can I keep using Toast for regular payments?

Yes. TabSettle only handles QR-based split transactions. Everything else flows through Toast as usual.

What makes TabSettle different from a standard pay-at-table flow?

Traditional payment tools help a guest pay. TabSettle lets the whole table settle together — one live bill, item claiming, shared plate splitting, simultaneous payment.
